Consumers intending to organise life insurance to protect their estates and family should concentrate on buying some sort of cover as a priority, one personal finance firm has stated.
According to independent financial adviser Libra Financial Planning, consumers who already have a defined idea of the sort of product they intend to buy can benefit from comparing deals online, as the costs of such insurance can vary wildly.
The firm also stated that life insurance can be "pretty cheap" if buyers are prepared to search beyond their bank.
A spokesperson remarks: "A lot of [customers] just go straight to their bank and get their bank to insure them. And the banks are usually more expensive than if they shopped around. There are websites available where they can get the cheapest quotes."
Recently Sainsbury's Bank launched an index, which revealed that the cost of life insurance products offered to the average customer can vary by as much as 66 per cent.
