Nationwide has announced its launch of a new home insurance promotional deal.
Customers switching to Nationwide are being promised that the provider will beat the price the customers previously paid for home insurance or refund the difference, with a limit of £100.
"By opting for Nationwide's home insurance, customers can be sure that they are benefiting from excellent customer care and better cover as standard," says Robin Bailey, the financial services company's insurance director.
Available between January 14th and April 4th, other features of the deal include a 20 per cent discount for customers buying a buildings and contents insurance bundle and a 12.5 per cent discount if the items are purchased on the internet.
The company's home insurance product offers unlimited buildings cover for eligible homes, as well as cover for students living away at university or college.
Garden contents can be protected up to the value of £1,000, while accidental damage to home entertainment equipment and mp3 players and music downloads also come under Nationwide's home insurance policy.
No extra charge is levied for direct debit payments and the contents of fridges and freezers can be covered for up to the value of £500.
Sainsbury's has warned that failing to protect homes from harsh winter weather may invalidate home insurance policies.
